NOAHFINNCE Shares Stark New Track ‘WONKY’

Rock Sound ·

NOAHFINNCE has released ‘WONKY’, an acoustic-led track made with As It Is musicians Patty Walters and Ben Langford-Biss. The song explores accepting personal differences and rejecting the idea that someone must change to be worthy, with a dramatic, string-filled ending that conveys greater confidence.

The artist said it is their first fully acoustic song since ‘Asthma Attack’ eight years ago, prompted by Walters asking why they had never written a classic acoustic emo song. ‘WONKY’ follows ‘TOO SENSITIVE’, and NOAHFINNCE is due to tour the UK from 22 to 31 October, with dates in Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, London, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester.

NOAHFINNCE is the music project of Noah Finn Adams, a British singer and songwriter whose work draws on alternative rock and emo. As It Is is a British rock band; Patty Walters is its singer, and Ben Langford-Biss is its drummer.

Acoustic songs are built around instruments such as acoustic guitar, rather than a heavily amplified rock sound. The track’s subject, accepting personal differences without feeling obliged to change to deserve acceptance, connects to themes often explored in emo and alternative music.
