Foy Vance Shares ‘Know By Now’ Video

Clash ·

Foy Vance has released a video for ‘Know By Now’, a song that previews his forthcoming album project, ‘If’. The track reflects on wisdom and regret from the perspective of an older narrator, signalling the project’s focus on revisiting earlier material through Vance’s present-day outlook.

Vance says he recognised he had released more than 100 songs and written many more, prompting him to reinterpret selected songs as if recording them for the first time with producer Anderson East. ‘If’ will be issued as a three-part EP trilogy, beginning with ‘If: We’ on 30 October. Co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter Lori McKenna, ‘Know By Now’ arrives as Vance begins a UK tour, including two nights at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
