Cooper Hoffman, Kathryn Newton Series ‘Durango’ Greenlit at Hulu as Merritt Wever, Mason Gooding and Abbey Lee Join Cast
Hulu has ordered Eliza Clarke’s drama pilot “Durango” to series, with Cooper Hoffman and Kathryn Newton leading the cast. The story follows a ski-town local and a runaway waitress who fall in love while fleeing police, criminals and the man’s wife, as they pursue what the series calls their American dream.
Merritt Wever joins as a local detective handed an unusually compelling case after two decades in a resort town, while Mason Gooding plays her sharp-witted colleague. Abbey Lee is cast as Irina, the Russian wife seeking US citizenship. Clarke wrote the series and executive produces; Media Res and 20th Television are co-studios.
