Police seek help identifying baby Ceri found on Bangor shoreline

Daily Mail ·

A baby girl found on a Welsh shoreline has been named Ceri by North Wales Police, who are continuing to investigate how she died and identify her parents. Police have appealed for information, including from people who may have noticed concerns about a woman or girl, stressing that they do not want the public to make assumptions or accusations.

Ceri’s body was found near Siliwen Road in Bangor on 27 September. A post-mortem indicated she may have been in the water for weeks, and specialist tests are under way. Police want photos or videos taken around the Menai Straits shoreline and information from people who visited the Ashley Fields area from 30 August; a dedicated line is also available for her mother to contact trained support staff.
