STAIND’s New Album Has An Official Title: ‘The Space Between The Darkness And The Light’
Staind have confirmed that their forthcoming album is titled “The Space Between The Darkness And The Light”. Frontman Aaron Lewis says the record is finished and he is proud of it, but he does not know when it will be released.
Lewis describes the album as continuing the lyrical themes that run through the band’s earlier work, reflecting on an adult trying to deal with the effects of childhood trauma. The announcement follows the release of “Ghosts”, Staind’s first new song since their 2023 album “Confessions Of The Fallen”; the band also plan to resume their “Break The Cycle” 25th-anniversary tour in 2027.

Staind are an American rock band whose best-known work emerged in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their music often combines heavy guitars with lyrics about difficult emotions and personal struggles.
Aaron Lewis is the band’s lead singer and a main songwriter. The new album’s themes connect with a recurring subject in Staind’s earlier songs: how experiences in childhood can affect someone in adult life.
The album follows “Confessions Of The Fallen”, released in 2023. Staind’s planned return to touring also looks back to “Break The Cycle”, a 2001 album that helped establish the band’s audience.
