Worldpeace DMT balance playful sounds with stronger songwriting on second album
Worldpeace DMT’s second album, *Stick Around for Tea*, revisits the playful, sample-rich sound of the London duo’s acclaimed debut while putting more emphasis on songwriting. Loosely centred on childhood, it pairs whimsical humour with carefully crafted pop, showing how the duo can keep their experimental style while making the songs more prominent.
Leo Fincham and Rowan Miles, who also perform in Femcels, released the live-instrumentation mixtape *Flowers Powers* in August after their 2025 debut, *The Velvet Underground & Rowan*. The new album brings back some of that debut’s “laptop twee” sound design, with lyrics about spiders, tigers and guitars, childish-sounding vocals, and musical touches ranging from jaunty arrangements to tightly structured pop.
- Worldpeace DMT return to playful, sample-rich production.
- Their second album gives songwriting greater prominence.
