Man jailed for charity theft at snooker star Wilson’s home
Kane Lee, 28, has been jailed for four years after admitting to burgling former world snooker champion Kyren Wilson’s home near Kettering. The burglary matters to Wilson beyond the loss of valuables: £2,000 intended for a children’s cancer charity was among the cash stolen.
Police said Lee travelled from Luton in a car with cloned number plates and broke an upstairs window to enter the unoccupied house in Barton Seagrave on 22 June. He was also ordered to pay a £228 surcharge; Wilson later raised money for the BeMoreFab Children’s Cancer Charity at an exhibition event in Corby.
