BODUR & Coby Sey Release Collaborative EP ‘BOX OF TRICKS’
London artists BODUR and Coby Sey have released their collaborative three-track EP, ‘BOX OF TRICKS’, after first connecting last year and developing their partnership in the studio. The release brings together experimental soul, trip-hop and spoken word, with its title track reflecting on the effects of war, division and news cycles on displaced children.
The EP includes ‘LEAVE’, introduced last month with additional production by Gabriel Gifford, and ‘AGAIN’, co-produced by Harvey Carson. BODUR says the title track draws on the British magpie nursery rhyme her grandmother recites. Her recent work includes the album ‘MAQAM’ and the performance-based project ‘SECOND LANGUAGE’; Sey released his debut album ‘Conduit’ in 2022 and is a founding member of the CURL collective.
