Daniel Seavey Shares What He Learned From ‘Sweetest Dude’ Benson Boone & Why He’s Dying to Collab With Pitbull
Daniel Seavey said opening for Benson Boone in 2024 helped him rediscover the enjoyment of making music after a difficult period following his departure from Why Don’t We. He described Boone as optimistic and kind, and said watching him approach the work with excitement reminded Seavey why music had once felt like a dream.
Speaking backstage at the 2026 TMElive International Music Awards in Hong Kong, Seavey also talked about performing at Kai Tak Stadium for the first time and playing his new single, “Love’s a Gun”. He praised Pitbull’s joyful, playful music and said he hopes to collaborate with him, imagining an entrance at a Pitbull show wearing a bald cap.
