K-pop Entertainment Company Hello82 Aims to Plant a Flag in Festival Market with Inaugural 82World
Hello82 is launching 82World, a two-day K-pop festival in Los Angeles, aiming to build a community-focused event in a market where several announced festivals have failed to happen. The company says the festival reflects growing US interest in K-pop and builds on its work organising fan events and promoting artists.
The festival is scheduled for 17 and 18 October at L.A. State Historic Park. P1Harmony headlines Saturday alongside acts including Ampers&one, Be:First, Cosmosy, Girlset, Xikers and 8Turn; ATEEZ headlines Sunday, with DJ sets, dance workshops and other fan activities during the day. Hello82 began selling tickets before announcing artists, and co-founder Sang H. Cho said demand in the first two hours was so high that sales had to be paused.

Both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
A dedicated K-pop festival could give US fans a shared, immersive event and offer artists a prominent platform in a market where interest in the genre is growing. Hello82’s experience with fan events and the reported early ticket demand suggest it may be well placed to build a community-focused festival.
The case against
Launching a festival before announcing its artists asks fans to commit on trust, and strong initial sales do not by themselves show that the event can deliver a satisfying experience. The failure of other announced festivals also gives reason to question whether a new event can meet the practical and financial demands of staging a large festival.
