Beloved Fantasy Novel Series Redwall Sets Return After 16 Years

    Polygon ·

A 23rd Redwall novel, Orphans of Mossflower, is due on 7 September 2027, bringing the fantasy series back after 16 years without a new instalment. Its release will coincide with the series’ 40th anniversary and a boxed set of all 22 earlier books.

The novel is advertised as written by Brian Jacques, who died in 2011, but its plot has not been officially revealed. A character-naming contest winner’s account suggests Redwall Abbey may come under attack and its residents may need to travel to Salamandastron, though this detail remains unconfirmed.

    • A new Redwall novel is scheduled for September 2027.
    • Orphans of Mossflower will be the series’ 23rd book.
    • The plot has not yet been officially announced.
