Miley Cyrus is an American singer who rose to fame as a child actor before building a music career of her own. The Hollywood Bowl is a large outdoor concert venue in Los Angeles, where artists often perform a run of shows.

Cyrus last toured with her “Bangerz” album in 2014 and has since said she is reluctant to tour simply to meet other people’s expectations. She has indicated that a residency, with several performances in one place, might suit her better.

The Bowl concerts are tied to the launch of her new album, “Bass Persuades”, and offer a way to gauge whether fans will come to see her perform in one city. They also mark a return to headline shows after years away from them.
