Pokémon Officially Debuts Its Creepy New Ghost Type for a Limited Time

Pokémon GO has added Bramblin, a Grass and Ghost-type Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as part of its Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek event. The debut gives trainers a limited-time chance to encounter a Pokémon whose tumbleweed appearance contrasts with its Pokédex story: it formed from a soul tangled in dried grass and wanders without knowing where it is going.

The event runs until 19 October at 8 p.m. local time, with Bramblin available through regular Incense, event Field Research and GO Pass tasks; Daily Adventure Incense is excluded. From 16 October, the Incense rotation also features Hisuian Growlithe and Helioptile, and Hisuian Growlithe has an increased Shiny encounter chance. The free GO Pass unlocks two-hour Incense at Rank 10, while rewards already unlocked can be claimed until 21 October at 8 p.m.
