Ariana Grande’s Crowd-Pleasing Record Breaker Officially Takes Over the World

Ariana Grande’s film *Wicked* has returned to global attention, ranking among the ten most-watched films on Prime Video. Its continued popularity comes despite the weaker reception of its sequel, *Wicked: For Good*, and shows the first film’s appeal has endured beyond its 2024 cinema release.

The first *Wicked* received ten Academy Award nominations and won for costume and production design. Made on a reported budget of $145 million, it grossed $746 million worldwide: $473 million domestically and $273 million internationally, making it the highest-grossing stage-to-screen musical adaptation. Grande is also set to appear in *Focker-in-Law*, due in cinemas on 25 November 2026.
