Sega pulls Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition from sale amid AI accusations, admitting it has “fallen short”
Sega and Creative Assembly are temporarily pulling Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition from sale after players criticised its quality, saying it has fallen short of expectations and their own standards. They are investigating the problems and plan to restore the original game while working on improvements to the edition.
Released on 13 October, the Complete Edition’s issues have not been specified, and the companies have not said when it will return. Some fans suspect AI use, citing what they describe as poor upscaling and other apparent signs, though the companies’ statement did not mention AI. More than 4,000 Steam reviews left the game with a 15 per cent positive score; existing owners can still play it.
