Far Out ·

Bob Dylan opened his UK and European tour in Oslo on 17 October with a 19-song set, returning to the stage after a break since his last show in Nashville on 1 August. The performance included “Crash on the Levee”, played live for the first time since 2005, alongside several other rarely performed or debut songs.

The 1967 song was recorded with The Band in West Saugerties and first appeared officially on 1975’s *The Basement Tapes*; Dylan first played it live in 1995. He also performed “Tangled Up in Blue” for the first time since 2018, and gave live debuts to songs by Randy Newman, Guy Clark and Jerry Lee Lewis. Dylan is due to play Gothenburg on 19 October, then continue touring the UK and Europe until December.
