Sammi, 44, has confirmed she met Liam McAuley in Italy after their cruise ship romance ended when she learnt he had a long-term fiancée. The reunion drew angry reactions from followers who believed the pair had secretly rekindled their relationship, and Sammi says online threats led her to close her TikTok account.

She says the meeting was unexpected: after her passport was stolen on her first day in Italy, McAuley saw her post about it, flew to Rome and helped her arrange a replacement. Sammi says he stayed for two nights, then returned home, and that she travelled to Italy alone and will leave alone. Their cruise romance began in August, after years in which she had focused on her son Jett’s treatment for aggressive brain cancer; he had since received the all-clear.
