Call of Duty is a series of military-themed video games, and Modern Warfare 4 is a campaign in which players progress through a story by completing missions. Notes are optional items hidden in the game world; finding them adds to the list of collectibles a player has gathered.
The campaign includes missions such as Following Orders, Stranded and Escape. Notes can be tucked into rooms or buildings, or found at marked places across a map, so collecting them involves exploring beyond the main route.
For players who want to find every Note, these items provide a side objective alongside the campaign’s missions. Their locations matter to completionists, while players focused on the main story can continue without collecting them.
