ARMORED SAINT’s JOHN BUSH Praises BRUCE DICKINSON: ‘Not Only Does He Still Sound Great, His Energy Level Is Just Ridiculous’

Blabbermouth ·

John Bush praised Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson after seeing Iron Maiden perform in Los Angeles, calling his voice and stamina exceptional. Bush said Dickinson, alongside older singers such as Judas Priest’s Rob Halford and Saxon’s Biff Byford, inspires him to keep performing and singing well.

Bush attended the late September concert at BMO Stadium, where Anthrax and Megadeth also played, and watched the show with members of Anthrax. The 63-year-old described his own routine of singing the first five songs backstage as a warm-up, supplemented by advice from vocal teacher Rickie Gole. Armored Saint is due to co-headline a North American tour with Metal Church from 2 to 21 November 2026, with a spring 2027 leg also announced.
