AARON LEWIS On Upcoming STAIND Album ‘The Space Between The Darkness And The Light’: ‘This Record Fits Perfectly Right Where It Sits’

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis says the band’s upcoming album, *The Space Between The Darkness And The Light*, continues the lyrical thread of personal struggles that runs through their previous records. Its first single, “Ghosts”, was chosen by others in the band’s team, though Lewis says he is proud of every song on the album.

Lewis described his songwriting as an intuitive process shaped by the music: he often develops melodies using improvised sounds before fitting words into their rhythm. “Ghosts”, released last week, is Staind’s first new music since 2023’s *Confessions Of The Fallen*, which topped the charts. The four-piece recorded the new material with producer Erik Ron.
