Cineverse Wins North American Rights To Thriller-Horror ‘The Night Driver’ With Josh Lucas, Alyssa Milano & David Arquette

Cineverse has acquired North American rights to the thriller-horror film *The Night Driver* from VMI International, following its premiere at Screamfest. The deal gives the genre-focused distributor a new film featuring established actors and marks director Jeremy Weiss’s debut.

Josh Lucas plays Hurdis Matheson, a pharmaceutical salesman trying to get home to his wife, played by Alyssa Milano, after surviving an encounter with a killer. The killer pursues and frames him for several murders, prompting a nationwide police manhunt; David Arquette plays the detective tasked with proving Hurdis’s innocence. John Cork wrote the screenplay, which was also published as a graphic novel, and Sean S. Cunningham is among the executive producers.
