Producer Andrew Watt has confirmed that he and Ozzy Osbourne recorded songs that have not been released, made for a “specific reason”. Watt said he has not listened to them since Osbourne’s death because they are difficult for him, leaving their purpose and whether they will ever be released unclear.
Watt worked with Osbourne on Ordinary Man (2020) and Patient Number 9 (2022). He recalled listening to their recent recordings and making notes with Osbourne, during their last meetings, shortly before the singer’s death; Watt also said he misses him every day. On a possible final Black Sabbath album, Watt suggested Tony Iommi’s comments were joking and said drummer Bill Ward could not take part for personal reasons.
