‘Running Point’ Co-Creator Mindy Kaling Joins Season 3 Cast

Mindy Kaling, co-creator and executive producer of Netflix’s *Running Point*, will join its third season on screen as recurring character Divya. The confident CEO of a popular gambling app becomes a thorn in the plans of Isla, played by Kate Hudson, setting up a new rivalry between two women leading in male-dominated fields.

Filming is under way in Los Angeles, where Hudson will direct the first episode, her television directorial debut. Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman and Justin Theroux are among the returning cast, alongside recurring actors Ray Romano, Uche Agada, Ken Marino and Jay Ellis. The sports comedy follows Isla as she takes charge of her family’s professional basketball team.
