‘Running Point’ EP Mindy Kaling To Recur In Season 3 Of Netflix Series

Mindy Kaling will join the third season of Netflix’s basketball comedy *Running Point* in a recurring role, playing Divya, the confident chief executive of a popular gambling app. Divya is another woman leading a male-dominated industry, but she becomes an obstacle to the plans of Isla Gordon, played by Kate Hudson.

Season 3 is in production in Los Angeles, and Hudson will make her television directing debut with the premiere. The series follows Isla as she leads the Los Angeles Waves basketball franchise alongside her siblings; its cast includes Drew Tarver, Brenda Song and Justin Theroux. Kaling, already a writer and executive producer on the show, previously said she would be delighted to join the cast.
