Could Sony’s Bungie Build the Next Star Wars Battlefront Game?
Developing story first seen 3 hours ago
No new confirmation has emerged: Bungie is still only rumoured to be among the studios considered for a new Star Wars Battlefront game. The possibility has drawn attention because the studio is known for Halo and Destiny, but the report remains unverified.
The claim comes from rumourmonger Quarterman, relayed by Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb; EA DICE, which made the previous two modern Battlefront games, is also reportedly a candidate. Battlefront 2 saw a large surge in players last summer and topped PS4 sales charts for several months. A new licensed game would be costly, and it is unclear whether the project would fit Bungie’s workload or Sony’s plans.
