Harry Styles Finds the Right Words on Liam Payne Tribute Song
Harry Styles used a Madison Square Garden performance on the second anniversary of Liam Payne’s death to share “Wise Enough”, a song he said he wrote for a friend two years ago. The unreleased tribute offered a rare, public expression of his grief and showed how he chose to honour Payne through music.
Styles has been giving brief reflections at his current 30-show Garden run, four years after his previous 15-night residency. On 16 October, he spoke of losing a friend who had supported him, without naming Payne, then performed the song to an audience of around 20,000. He has previously said he finds it difficult to discuss his grief while feeling that others expect him to express it publicly.
