Russell Brand grinned ‘like a clown’ and told woman ‘don’t be a spoilsport’ as he raped her in a toilet cubicle, court told

Russell Brand denies seven sexual offences, including rape, sexual assault and indecent assault, in a trial at Southwark Crown Court. An MTV worker told jurors he groped her shortly after they met at a West End bar, then took her into a toilet cubicle and forced her to perform oral sex.

The woman said she protested and felt threatened, describing Brand as grinning during the alleged assault. She told the court that after leaving the cubicle in a daze, she was approached by Brand again in a car, where he allegedly exposed himself and asked her to perform another sex act. The allegations are being heard by a jury; they have not been proven.
