James Bond is a British fictional spy created by author Ian Fleming. His first novel appeared in 1953, and the film series began with Dr. No in 1962; different actors have played Bond over the decades, including Daniel Craig, whose final film as 007 was No Time to Die.

The films have also featured distinctive clothes, props and promotional artwork, some of which are now sought by collectors. Propstore is a company that auctions film and television memorabilia, and its Bond sale brings together items from across the series.

The items’ estimated prices show how film history can become a collectors’ market, though auction values depend on bidding. The sale also comes as attention turns to the franchise’s next film, which Denis Villeneuve is set to direct.
