Ozzy Osbourne Was ‘Flying High’ Until the ‘Day He Passed’ After Final Concert, Sharon Osbourne Says: ‘We Hadn’t Seen Him That Way in Years’
Sharon Osbourne said Ozzy remained joyful and energised after his final concert, “Back to the Beginning”, until his death at 76. The July 2025 Birmingham show gave him a chance to perform once more and thank his supporters, and brought together Black Sabbath and leading metal acts.
Sharon said Ozzy was seriously ill, with emphysema making it uncertain whether he could sing, but he was determined to go ahead. She recalled being anxious on the day while he watched and applauded the other performers, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera and Tool. His bandmates and children had not been told how unwell he was. A film about the concert, featuring behind-the-scenes footage, is due in cinemas worldwide on 28 October.
