Nathan Fielder’s documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is drawing unusually strong demand from UK cinema-goers, with screenings selling out weeks before its release. The response matters because cinemas say it is attracting younger audiences and showing continued appetite for shared big-screen experiences.

The film opens in the UK on 20 November, after taking $15m (£11.3m) in its US opening weekend, the biggest documentary debut in more than 20 years. Picturehouse, Cineworld and Vue have reported strong interest, with additional screenings and venues added; more than 70% of the US opening-weekend audience was under 35.
