3 Songs From the 90s That Are Still Perfect for a Halloween Playlist
The article highlights three 1990s songs it says still suit a Halloween playlist: Michael Jackson’s “Ghosts”, Nina Simone’s “I Put A Spell On You” and Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. Their supernatural themes and eerie lyrics make them seasonal choices, while their lasting popularity gives them wider appeal.
Jackson’s “Ghosts” was released in 1997 and shares its title with a 1996 short film written by Stephen King and Mick Garris. Simone recorded “I Put A Spell On You”, a song first released by Jay Hawkins in 1956; it also features in the film *Hocus Pocus*. Metallica released “Enter Sandman” in 1991, and the article notes it remains among the band’s most successful singles and has stayed in their live setlist.
