Amazon rebrands Kindle Unlimited to Kindle+

Engadget ·

Amazon has renamed its Kindle Unlimited subscription service to Kindle+ and expanded its audiobook collection. The change gives subscribers access to more audio alongside the existing books, magazines and comics.

Amazon says thousands of audiobooks have been added, including titles from authors who self-publish through Kindle Direct Publishing. The subscription remains $12 a month, with borrowing capped at 20 titles; reading history, bookmarks, notes and saved titles carry over. Kindle+ is available through the Kindle app and Amazon’s Kindle devices.

In short

  • Kindle Unlimited is now called Kindle+.
  • The service adds thousands of audiobooks.
  • Price and borrowing limit stay the same.
