Manhunt launched for violent prisoner after he absconds from London medical facility
Police have launched a search for Anthony Lloyd, a 38-year-old prisoner who escaped from a medical facility in Lewisham, south London. Officers say he may pose a risk to himself and the public, and have urged anyone who sees him to call 999 rather than approach him.
Lloyd was last seen at about 4.10pm on Friday, heading towards Catford. He was serving a 12-month sentence after a 2025 conviction for actual bodily harm involving three emergency workers in Nottinghamshire, and was transferred to the facility in September. Police believe he could be anywhere in London and say he has links to several other counties and Merseyside.
