The result suggests the party is consolidating support on the left under Andy Burnham, while the Conservatives have moved ahead of Reform UK amid recent controversies affecting Nigel Farage’s party.

The poll puts Labour on 32 per cent, up five points; the Conservatives on 24 per cent, up three; and Reform UK on 20 per cent, down three. The survey of 15 to 22 October also found 66 per cent dissatisfied with the Government, whose net satisfaction score was minus 43; Ipsos cautioned that one poll should not be overinterpreted.
