MAPPED: The states Trump and top Democrats are targeting before Election Day
Donald Trump and JD Vance are rallying Republicans, while Barack Obama and Kamala Harris are campaigning for Democrats, as both parties make a final push before Election Day. Their visits highlight efforts to mobilise voters and influence the fight for control of Congress.
Trump’s stops include Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Georgia, Florida and Michigan, spanning safe Republican states and places with competitive Senate contests. The article says recent Cook Political Report polling showed Democratic candidates narrowly ahead in Senate races in Ohio, Texas and Iowa; Obama visited Ohio and Michigan, while Harris appeared in Nevada, Mississippi and New Hampshire. The map records campaign travel rather than ranking battlegrounds, and the article identifies the election as taking place on 3 November.
