The Cutest Little Sonic Game Is Coming Soon to PS5, But It Won’t Have a Platinum Trophy

Push Square ·

Sonic Pico Park is due to launch on PS5 on 12 November 2026, bringing Sonic characters into the co-operative puzzle-platforming format of the existing Pico Park games. It supports up to four local players or eight online, offering a small-scale multiplayer spin on the series.

Its newly published Trophy list has 20 awards but no Platinum: 12 bronze, seven silver and one gold. Most are earned by clearing levels across the game’s Worlds, with some tied to reaching target scores in endless-scroller stages.

In short

  • Sonic Pico Park launches on PS5 on 12 November.
  • The co-op game supports up to eight online players.
  • Its 20 Trophies include no Platinum.

Explained simply

Sonic is a long-running video-game series starring a fast blue hedgehog, alongside characters such as Tails and Knuckles. Its games have often focused on speed and platforming, with players guiding characters through stages while avoiding obstacles and collecting items.

Pico Park is a separate series of co-operative puzzle games, in which players work together to get through levels. Bringing Sonic characters into that format combines the familiar cast with puzzles designed for several people to play together.

PlayStation games can award Trophies for completing tasks, and some include a top-level Platinum Trophy for earning the others. A game can have a Trophy list without a Platinum, so the list’s structure is separate from how many people can play or what the game is about.
