Lonely The Brave Share Earnest New Track ‘So Nearly’
Lonely The Brave have released ‘So Nearly’, their first new song featuring vocalist David Jakes since 2017. The track follows Jakes’s return to the band and reflects the original line-up’s reunion, which guitarist Mark Trotter described as rooted in friendship, fun and freedom.
The band said ‘So Nearly’ was the first song they wrote after getting back together with Jakes and that it felt like a Lonely The Brave song should. They have special shows planned for 12 November in Cambridge and 17 November in London, followed by a five-date headline tour in May 2027, including Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Nottingham and Cardiff. The article also notes a collaboration with Fall Out Boy for the band’s 25th anniversary.
