The BBC’s Perfect ‘The Rookie’ Replacement Officially Sets U.S. Return

Blue Lights series four will premiere in the United States on BritBox on 12 November 2026, giving American viewers access to the latest season of the BBC police drama. The series may appeal to fans of The Rookie, as both follow new police officers handling unpredictable frontline work, though Blue Lights is described as more grounded.

The fourth season has already begun airing in the UK and is on its fifth episode. Grace, Tommy and Annie are now three years into the job, facing growing threats, while the murder trial of Gerry Cliff exposes a long-buried secret that puts the police and criminal underworld in turmoil. The cast includes Siân Brooke, Katherine Devlin, Nathan Braniff, Martin McCann and Richard Dormer.
