Pornhub Stars Want to Teach You How to Make Dinner
Pornhub is expanding its promotion of performers’ non-explicit videos, including cooking, gaming and podcasts, to attract viewers interested in their lives beyond adult entertainment. The move also gives creators another way to reach audiences as age-verification laws and tighter platform rules restrict access to explicit content.
The company says podcast and gaming categories grew by triple digits in 2025, while searches for “SFW” rose 114 per cent and podcast interest increased 327 per cent. Its non-explicit videos will appear in recommendations, search results and other areas of the site, complementing adult content. Creator Isla Moon, who has nearly two million TikTok followers, says changing restrictions have reduced the reach of some of her videos and made income less predictable.
In short

Steelman: both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
Promoting non-explicit videos could help performers reach audiences and earn income as restrictions reduce the reach and predictability of adult-content work. Cooking, gaming and podcasts also let viewers engage with creators’ interests beyond their explicit material, while giving the platform a way to serve growing demand for such content.
The case against
Putting performers’ non-explicit videos into recommendations and search results could blur the distinction between general entertainment and a site chiefly associated with explicit content. Critics may also question whether this expansion mainly serves viewers’ interests or helps the company retain traffic and promote its brand as access to explicit material faces tighter regulation.
