Lamarre-Condon’s statement alleges friend helped hide couple’s bodies
A handwritten statement released by the NSW Supreme Court has set out accused double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon’s account of how he says his childhood friend helped him hide the bodies of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. The allegations matter because they conflict with Elizabeth Kennedy’s evidence that she travelled to Bungonia with Lamarre-Condon but did not know there were bodies in the van or help dispose of them.
Lamarre-Condon’s ten-page statement was signed on 5 June 2025, more than a year after the couple were allegedly killed. He says Baird was accidentally shot during a scuffle and Davies shot himself, and alleges he told Kennedy about the deaths on Signal before she advised him against going to police. He claims he later showed her Baird’s head protruding from a surfboard bag in a rental van and that they travelled to Bungonia; prosecutors allege Lamarre-Condon intentionally killed the men and left their bodies by a fence.
In short
- Lamarre-Condon’s statement alleges Kennedy helped hide the bodies.
- Kennedy has denied knowing bodies were in the van or assisting.
- Prosecutors allege Lamarre-Condon intentionally killed Baird and Davies.
