Jamie Dornan says he feels pressure taking on a younger Aragorn in *The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum*, following Viggo Mortensen’s celebrated portrayal in the original trilogy. He said he is not trying to outdo Mortensen and regards his performance as one of his favourites.

Directed by Andy Serkis, the standalone film will follow Gollum’s perspective as Gandalf sends a young Aragorn, then known as Strider, to find him. Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood are returning as Gandalf and Frodo; Kate Winslet, Leo Woodall, Lee Pace and Anya Taylor-Joy are among the newcomers. Serkis, who played Gollum in the original films, will make his first turn as lead director in the fantasy franchise.
