Maybelline & Billboard Bring Music and Beauty Together at Latin Music Week
Maybelline used Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 to link beauty with music and self-expression, offering attendees ways to refresh their looks and create their own versions of the brand’s jingle. The event also marked a new partnership with Billboard, aimed at helping emerging artists reach music fans.
The conference featured a touch-up station, selfie spot and recording booth with bachata, cumbia and reggaeton instrumentals; participants received Maybelline gift bags. On 20 October, Maybelline and essie US president Yasmin Dastmalchi told Billboard’s Leila Cobo that music and makeup share ties to emotion and self-expression. Dastmalchi announced “Maybe… We’re Next”, a music discovery platform for emerging artists.
In short

- Attendees recorded the brand’s jingle over Latin music.
- A new Billboard partnership will spotlight emerging artists.
Explained simply
Billboard Latin Music Week is a conference and event series focused on Latin music, bringing artists and people from the music industry together with fans. Billboard is a music media company that covers artists, songs and the wider industry.
Maybelline is a cosmetics brand, and essie is a nail polish brand; both are led in the US by Yasmin Dastmalchi. The brands’ partnership with Billboard connects beauty with music and includes “Maybe… We’re Next”, a platform intended to introduce emerging artists to music fans.
The collaboration matters because it gives new artists another route to reach an audience, while putting beauty products and self-expression in a music setting. At the event, attendees could try makeup, take photos and record their own versions of a brand jingle over Latin music instrumentals.
