Everything But The Girl Announce New Album Blue Reservoir, Share “Young and Dumb”
Everything But The Girl have announced *Blue Reservoir*, their second album since returning from a 24-year recording hiatus, and released its first preview, “Young and Dumb”. The record is due on 19 February 2027, following 2023’s *Fuse*, and draws on the stripped-back sound Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt rediscovered during intimate London shows.
The album grew from around 30 performances at the 300-capacity MOTH Club, beginning in 2025 and marking the pair’s first shows together in roughly 25 years. Nine of its 10 songs were written on guitar, and most were recorded live over 10 days at RAK Studios in July, with longtime collaborators Rex Horan and Evan Jenkins, percussionist Fabio de Oliveira, and the duo’s son Blake Watt on two tracks.

Explained simply
Everything But The Girl are the British musical duo Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt. They began making records in the 1980s, blending pop, folk and electronic music, then stopped recording together for 24 years before returning with Fuse in 2023.
Their later music has drawn on the contrast between Thorn’s singing and Watt’s guitar and production. Their intimate London performances brought them back to playing together on stage, and the new album grew out of that experience.
