Pokémon GO’s Halloween celebration has introduced costumed Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea, all of which can appear as Shiny Pokémon. The event is split into two parts, so players have different deadlines for finding the new outfits.

Part I ends on 1 November at 10am local time, when wild top-hat Zubat encounters and free Pikachu Timed Research expire. Costumed Pikachu and Sinistea remain available in one-star raids during Part II, which ends on 5 November at 8pm. The Halloween GO Pass also runs until 5 November, with unlocked rewards claimable until 7 November.

In short

  • Three new Halloween Pokémon outfits have debuted.
  • Zubat encounters and free Pikachu research end on 1 November.
  • Pikachu and Sinistea raids continue until 5 November.

Explained simply

Pokémon GO is a mobile game in which players find and catch Pokémon in real-world locations, using their phones. Special events add themed activities and Pokémon wearing outfits, and some Pokémon can appear in a rare Shiny form with different colouring.

The Halloween event is divided into two parts, with different ways to encounter the costumed Pokémon. Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea are Pokémon from the wider series; in this event, their outfits and availability depend on the activity and event period.
