Kim Kardashian had ‘gun to her head’ after Kanye West sparked ‘raid’ in Uganda, biographer claims
Kim Kardashian’s biographer Jonathan Van Meter says she was held at gunpoint during a 2018 trip to Uganda with then-husband Kanye West. The claim, based on an account from television producer Farnaz Farjam, describes a tense episode that she said marked a serious deterioration in the couple’s relationship.
Farjam told Van Meter that West became paranoid and agitated while the crew were filming at a remote location, and persuaded local police that people were trying to drug him. Police reportedly searched rooms with guns drawn, and one officer allegedly pointed a gun at Kardashian. Farjam said she arranged a private jet to evacuate her crew; the couple had travelled to Uganda to distribute Yeezy trainers and meet President Yoweri Museveni. Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, and their divorce and joint custody settlement was finalised in 2022.
