Explained simply
U2 are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1976, with singer Bono, guitarist the Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr. They became one of the world’s best-known touring bands through albums such as The Joshua Tree and songs including “With or Without You”.
Stadium tours bring together large audiences for concerts in venues built for major sporting events. Wolf Alice are a British rock band whose presence on the UK and Ireland dates links the shows with a newer generation of performers. U2’s return to headline concerts in the region follows their last such run in 2018.
