FOX One launches interactive election hub with real-time polling and race analysis for midterms

Fox News ·

FOX One, Fox Corporation’s streaming service, plans to launch an interactive election experience for the 2026 US midterms, built with FOX News Media. It will combine live coverage with results, polling and analysis, aiming to help viewers follow both national contests and races relevant to their area as results arrive.

Features will roll out before Election Day, with the full experience available as coverage begins on 3 November. A command centre will place the live stream alongside real-time polling, race results and analysis; a curated hub will feature battleground races, ballot measures and local station coverage. The in-app Ask FOX companion will include an Elections Mode, powered by an in-house AI platform, to provide sourced answers to election questions.

Steelman: both sides, in good faith

The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.

The case for

Supporters could argue that bringing live coverage, local races, ballot measures and timely results together makes a complex election easier to follow, especially for viewers who want information relevant to their area. An AI companion that points to sources may also help users find answers quickly while coverage is unfolding.

The case against

Critics could argue that combining reporting, polling, analysis and an AI question-answering tool within one company’s service risks giving viewers a narrow information environment, particularly if its choices of races or sources shape what receives attention. They may also question whether AI-generated answers and rapidly changing polling or results can be presented with enough context and accuracy to avoid misleading users.

Explained simply

US midterm elections take place halfway through a president’s four-year term. Voters choose all 435 members of the House of Representatives and about a third of the Senate, as well as governors and other state and local officials in many places.

The House and Senate make federal laws and oversee the government, while state and local elections affect decisions closer to home. FOX One is Fox Corporation’s streaming service, and FOX News Media provides its news coverage; election results come in at different times as local officials count votes.
