Explained simply
The Last Cowboy is a reality competition about professional reining, a horse sport in which riders guide horses through set patterns of turns, stops and other movements. Trainers compete to show their skill, with judges assessing the horse and rider’s performance.
The series began in 2019 and is associated with writer and producer Taylor Sheridan, who has also created scripted television dramas including Yellowstone and Landman. Its return comes as Landman’s next season has been delayed, giving viewers another of Sheridan’s series to follow.
