After an Incredible Brush With Dolly Parton, Fanny Lumsden Celebrates Her ‘Traditions’
Australian singer-songwriter Fanny Lumsden has released *Traditions*, her fifth studio album, exploring how family and cultural traditions shape people and which should be kept, changed or left behind. The record reflects her effort to honour parts of her upbringing while maintaining her independence and progressive values.
Produced by Steven Schram, the 11 songs were recorded live with Lumsden’s band over nine days. They include the title track and the singles “Difficult Woman”, “Mother’s Eyes” and “By The River”, featuring Paul Kelly. Lumsden previously won the 2023 ARIA Award for best country album for *Hey Dawn*, announced by Dolly Parton, and will launch the new record with an outdoor concert in Tooma.
