Skid Row Tap Broadway Star of ‘Rock of Ages’ and ‘Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark’ As New Lead Singer
Skid Row have appointed Broadway performer Justin Sargent as their new lead singer after more than two years searching for a frontman. The New Jersey band announced the news on Thursday with a video of Sargent singing The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, beginning a new chapter for a group whose songs are closely associated with former singer Sebastian Bach.
Sargent, 41, made his stage debut in the musical Rock of Ages in 2011 and later appeared in Bonnie & Clyde and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Skid Row said they have been recording with him and are preparing for what comes next; the band has changed singers several times since Bach left in 1996, including a temporary stint by Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale in 2024.
